Below is a typical but not limited checklist for you fall maintenance on you furnace.
Checklist:
**If you are running your furnace for the first time this season, make sure your filter is clean and change your batteries in your carbon monoxide detector. If you do not own a carbon monoxide detector, we highly recommened purchasing one for your safety.
- Oil blower motor (if necessary)
- Check voltage and wiring.
- Check and replace air filter/electronic air cleaner.
- Clean and check humidifer and set for winter.
- Examine heat exchanger for corrosion or cracks.
- Test air in home for carbon monoxide.
- Check and calibrate thermostat.
- Check flue gas and chimney for blockage.
If your furnace is not running/or working properly:
Check batteries in thermostat.
Make sure your breaker is turned on in the electrical panel.
Check your furnace filter and assure your blower motor is running.
